Our dancers compete in any of the following: tap, jazz, acro, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, pointe, modern and hip hop. Pre-Competitive (5.5 hours or less per week) and Full-Time Competitive (6 or more hours per week) available.

All Dancers competing in jazz/lyrical/contemporary/acro will attend the appropriate technique class (as determined by the Artistic Director) and prerequisite training class(es) per style of dance (see your individual acceptance) Dancers competing in tap, musical theatre or hip hop MAY have prerequisite training classes specified for them.

If All 4 One Dance Company is unable to offer a certain style of dance, team members are free to train in that style of dance elsewhere, providing the Artistic Director is informed. Styles not offered at All 4 One: break dance, Irish, highland, flamenco and ballroom.

Competitive Students may not compete for other dance studios/teams or as “independent” while fulfilling their commitment to the All 4 One Competitive Team.

* Scheduling, class content and group placement are ultimately decided by the Artistic Director.

A timeline for the year will be provided (exact dates/venues TBA) upon acceptance to the team. The team will be attending 4 competitions and the Convention listed on the timeline. There will be one additional OPTIONAL competition for those routines advised by the Artistic Director (based on availability and progress).

Pre-Competitive and Novice Routines MAY only attend 3 of the 4 competitions depending on progress. Elite Dancers competing in 4 routines or more should be attending at least ONE additional workshop this season. We will provide suggestions of local options within South Western Ontario. We will have a team photo day, dress rehearsal in early spring and end of year recital performances. Holidays and closures are per the school board calendar.

Why Compete?

Many dancers are not aware of the level of dance they can achieve until they are exposed to the competitive world of dance. Dance does not just exist within the four walls of our studio. If you view it in this way, you will never step outside your “comfort” zone. You will not realize the full range of your potential or experience that feeling of euphoria one gets from performing. Competitive Dance is NOT about winning it is about encouraging personal best and reaching new milestone's each season. We work hard together; we laugh together; we succeed together!
